Engineering Cluster

If you wish to begin your degree in the Spring semester, but your chosen study track starts only in the Winter semester, the Engineering Cluster is the solution for you!

Do You Have the Required SEKEM Score?

The Engineering Cluster offers a smooth start at the Technion by allowing you to take several courses during the Spring semester and then join one of the following study tracks in the Winter semester:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Materials Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Biochemical Engineering

This program does not shorten the overall duration of the degree but provides the opportunity to spread your studies over a more flexible timeline.

Unsure What to Study?

Not certain which field suits you best? Unsure about the content of each study track?

You will have the option to choose one of the study tracks listed above by the end of the semester, after completing the "Introduction to Engineering" course.

The "Introduction to Engineering" course introduces the various faculties or study tracks and assists in understanding the key aspects and benefits of each field.

Admission Requirements:

Admission to the Engineering Cluster requires a SEKEM score of 86. Applications close on January 31, 2025.

You can apply to the Engineering Cluster through the following special admission options:

  • SEKEM and an interview
This option is based on recognized diploma/Technion Mechina grades and the Psychometric/SAT/ACT exam score. when certain grades in the diploma/Technion Mechina are present and the candidate’s Sekem calculation is lower by 1 point from the program’s threshold , the candidate will be invited to an interview at the faculty. The final decision will be made According to the interview.
  • the Mathematics placement exam as an alternative to the Psychometric/SAT/ACT

This option is based on recognized diploma/Technion Mechina grades and the Mathematics placement exam score. when certain grades in the diploma/Technion Mechina are present, a candidate can take the Mathematics placement exam and with a min. score of 55 in the exam, the score will be translated to the Psychometric scale for the calculation of the candidate’s Sekem.
