Placement Test in Math (Technion Math exam)

This admissions option is based on matriculation scores and the Mathematics placement exam.

The score on the Mathematics classification exam is converted to a score on the Psychometric score scale into the agreement calculation formulaĀ  in place of the Psychometric score.

If you wish to participate in this option, you must ensure that you meet the threshold requirements, register for one of the exam preparation courses, and register for the exam itself. It is not mandatory to register for the preparation course; you can only register for the exam.

Please Notice:

  • Candidates with an academic background relevant to the Technion cannot be admitted based on this admissions channel.

  • Applicants may take the Mathematics Placement Test multiple times during the examination periods relevant for admission to the same semester.

  • The Mathematics Placement Test is an internal Technion examination.
  • For applicants who do not meet the minimum Mathematics requirements: The Technion will consider the highest score among all placement tests you have taken.
  • For applicants applying through the placement test as aĀ  Psychometric exam: The placement test score will be valid only for the semester which you have registered.
  • For applicants in this category, the Technion will consider the highest score among all placement tests valid for that semester.
  • The conversion to a score on the Psychometric scale will be calculated only for those who received a score higher than 55 on the placement exam. Candidates who received a score lower than 56 will not be able to participate in this channel.
